My name is Barthelemy Atsin and I am from Philadelphia,
but currently living in Harlem. Since I was a child I was always fascinated by many artists. Some of my favorites are Paul Cezzane’, Pablo Picasso, Frida Kahlo, Keith Haring and Jean Michel Basquiat. I felt that these and many others were not only amazing painters but also great storytellers who channeled their emotions into every ounce of their work. This is what I want to accomplish with my illustrations, animations, paintings and clothing designs.
Throughout my career in education, I've been very fortunate to teach fine art and digital techniques in animation to students in the Department of Education with organizations such as Arts Connection, Magic Box Productions and at SAR High School.
